Most adolescents and children are extremely brave at making their rooms a reflection of themselves, yet most adults are often embarrassed to make their bedrooms a bit more interesting. So with the courage of a child, here are a few things you can do to make your bedroom more you.

The first step towards giving your bedroom a bit of character is by framing photographs of people you love, stages in your life, you pets and artistically hanging them about your bedroom walls. You could even frame your accomplishments such as your university degree, your old spelling bee certificate or even something that you have artistically created. Almost whatever you frame is bound to look good; the only thing that you should try to overcome is your initial restraint at having something about you framed.
Plants are great ways to personalize a bedroom. While some bedroom ideas are tacky, this one is definitely not, for some of the nicest and warmest looking bedrooms are ones with potted plants in them. The type of plant you choose depends on what you would like; adding to more clues of what your personality is like. From indoor plants to ferns to cacti, add a plant to make your bedroom an extension of yourself.
Finally adding a touch of what you are is necessary to make your bedroom more you. Think about what you are good at, what you love and incorporate that into your room. For instance, if you simply love reading, include an open book case or a transparent book case in your bedroom. Or if you love to sing, hang some photographs of you singing or if you’d like to play the guitar, hang your guitar in an advantageous position in your bedroom. When it comes to bedroom ideas, there are plenty of options; the only requirement is for you to be comfortable in baring a bit of your soul.
