Do you really need a bathroom chandelier?
To most of us, a chandelier is something that we put up in our living rooms, and if we have the money and the space, in our bedrooms and dining rooms. Very rarely do we even think of putting one up in the bathroom. I mean nobody wears Louis Vuitton clothes and then goes to play in the dirt.
There’s a place for everything, and a bathroom is definitely not the place for a chandelier. But many lighting systems manufacturers not only make specific bathroom chandeliers, they give you innovative ways to install them there.
You hear everything from “It makes your bathroom a place which you will be proud to show off” to “It improves your bathroom experience considerably” whatever “bathroom experience” may be. Not to say that a chandelier will be out of place anywhere.
A chandelier is never out of place. You can put the most expensive crystal chandelier in a hut, and it will only improve the inside of the hut.
If therefore you have the space to hang a bathroom chandelier, go for it. Many of them are not too expensive because you get the simple three arm ones more often than not. You also do not have to go in for the really classy and obscenely expensive ones; a simple contemporary model will be more than enough.
Of course even this will set you back anywhere upwards of $200 depending on the kind of chandelier you are going for and most times much, much more. When you take it that most normal bathroom lights start off at around the $20 mark, you will literally be paying through your nose for it.
Yet if you are someone who wants to “tone up” their home, it is not possible with a $30 light. You’ll have to spend more but the satisfaction that you get out of living in a beautiful house, will more than compensate for any slight pangs you get when you shell out the money for a bathroom chandelier. Just one piece of advice; don’t go for the heavy Victorian style, it really will be out of place in your bathroom.
