Aluminium Garden Furniture

Lighting info brought to you by LightingShowroom.com

When you think of getting garden furniture, there are only three main things that you have to keep in mind. The first obviously is the cost, the second is the durability and the third is the weight.

There is no reason to get into the cost because all of us understand why it is so important. The durability is important because most of us leave our garden furniture outside. This means that they will be exposed to the elements and if you live anywhere where you get extremes in weather conditions, you will realize that not many things last outside.

The weight is important because unless you want your furniture to be a fixture, they will be moved around, and you should be able to do this without breaking your back while doing so.

This is the reason why most of us think of bamboo or rattan furniture for the garden. While giving a very classy look to the garden, the problem with rattan is that unless you go for the really well made ones they do not last long. Even the cheap plastic ones wear better. The well-constructed ones are however as expensive as they are good looking and a single set can set you back more than $800.

Wrought iron is not something that many people think of, but it is actually a good option. Unless you go in for the really heavy, Elizabethan kind you do get the thin, light ones. Not only that, since most wrought iron furniture prices are based on the quantity of iron that goes into their construction, the larger ones actually cost more, while the thinner ones look nicer, unless you live in a castle when the heavy ones go better.

Another option is Aluminium garden furniture. Aluminium is very light, but is also quite strong. Not only that it is also very durable, and unlike wrought iron does not require any painting as it does not rust. The only problem is that they are on the expensive side. Yet you are not without options here as you could go with the Aluminium ones that have cloth or nylon seats and backs. Of course the nylon will not wear as well, but they are quite cheap to replace, and you have the Aluminium frame. Check online for all your options before you make up your mind.
