Vanity Lights for Bathroom

Lighting info brought to you by LightingShowroom.com

Most of us want to have a bathroom like the pictures that we see in magazines. If like most of us you too live in a tiny cramped apartment, the bathroom will definitely not be the most spacious room in the home.

From a purely practical point of view this is good because we really do not spend most of our time in the bathroom anyway. Yet we still want our bathrooms to look nice and go to great lengths to make it look classy.

If you have been trying to do this for some time but are finding it difficult, just remember, most of the class in the bathroom comes from two things, one is the fittings, and the other is the lighting. Obviously the fittings are out of the question, you make do with what you have, but when it comes to the lighting you can do something about it.

For example, most of us will definitely have a vanity mirror or at least a medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Of course we would have gone in for the default lights on either side of the mirror because it is the most easy to install, but just imagine how the same mirror would look with vanity lights for bathrooms installed on either side of it.

You don’t have to go in for the really expensive ones; you even read articles where people suggest that you put in a small chandelier in your bathroom. Well you really don’t have to do that. A couple of simple wall fittings that look elegant are more than sufficient, and you can get them for around $30 each. This may be more than you want to pay, but is definitely not as much as a chandelier, not by a long shot.

If you can afford it, try putting in as large a mirror as you can in the bathroom. It may seem like a waste, but because the mirror reflects light it will give the whole bathroom a light airy feeling making it seem bigger than it actually is.

Another thing is to look at the details. You may already have a mirror with vanity lights, and the sink as well as the loop where the towel is hung. How many bathrooms however will have a separate holder for the soap dispenser and how many of you have your tooth brushes in a container on the counter. Just keeping everything behind closed doors like in a cabinet will remove a lot of the clutter making the same bathroom look very nice.
