Stair Carpet Runners

Lighting info brought to you by LightingShowroom.com

Stair carpet runners are like your little finger, you may not even notice that they are there, and even if you do, you may very well think that they are absolutely useless and are there only for show. The moment that you remove them though you’ll find that not only were they useful, they were absolutely essential.

Anyone who has carpets anywhere will know that one of the biggest problems is with keeping them where you want them. People tend to kick them over and if it is not the wall to wall kind of carpet, anything other than a slow sedate walk will push them awry. The stair carpet runners serve the same purpose for the stair carpets. You need something to hold the carpet in place on each stair and although you can do this with nails, the runners not only do a better job, they save you from damaging the carpet too.

Considering that most stair carpet runners are quite cheap, (you can get each for less than a couple of dollars apiece) except probably the brass ones, while carpets are quite expensive, this is a good idea. Of course you do have other options too like the anti-skid pads, and the tape that you can use to secure carpets to the floor.

Although these are effective enough in their own way, it is better to pay extra and go for the runners. If you feel that the good ones are a little above your budget, get the cheaper ones, but get something that will not stand out against the pattern of the carpet. If you ever try to hurry down stairs where the carpet is not secured by anything more substantial than a tape you are definitely in for a spill.

Look online for them. Even if you are not a big fan of online buying, what can you lose in carpet runners and if you can get them cheaper it is definitely worth your while right. Just make sure that you add the cost of shipping too to the total cost when you calculate it. Also make sure that you purchase from a buyer with a good rating unless you want to be stuck with something that you don’t want.
